Music
Cave In Your Head
Recorded in 1993 at Prairie Sun Studio in Cotati, CA.

We won 40 hours of studio time as the grand prize winners of Magnolia's Annual Sonoma Battle of the Bands.  With the help of engineer Joe Marquez, we set the "land speed record" for an ambitious eight songs, and scraped together payment for an extra four hours of mixdown, and still managed to whip their garden into shape between sessions.

With artwork contributions from Eric Cross and Neiel Cavin, and PageMaker magic on my little black&white laptop, we pressed a thousand CD's, thanks to a loan from Zach's dad, Warren Thompson, to whom we are eternally grateful.  The day they arrived in the mail was a day of triumph like none other.  Although our skills as we evolved in later years far outstrips this effort, this ended up standing as our one and only studio recording effort.  Oh well, such is life!
